Visited our local hostelry in the village to find a transformation in the atmosphere the food and the drink. The new owners Jason and Amelia have transformed the Nags into a warm and welcoming local serving excellent food in great surroundings. I had a mixed grill that was expertly cooked and we were well looked after by the staff. The Ale 'Pedigree' was excellently kept and all was reasonably priced. Will be returning as a regular.

Popped in to this pub for a late lunch, staff where very friendly and helpful especially the young girl serving the tables. The food was nicely presented and tasted good. The place had a lot of its original character. Reasonably priced with a variety of foods on the menu.

Went to The Nags Head on a Groupon deal with voucher for steak and wine with friends. Staff were friendly and attentive.Food was spot on. Well cooked steaks and sensible portion sizing - not overloaded with chips. Onion rings ordered as a side were absolutely delicious - homemade. Small selection of desserts - 3 of us chose Tiramisu - which was lovely. One cheese board too which was a good selection. Would definitely go back and try other items on menu or specials.

“Good Sunday Lunch”

Went here mainly because we left it until the last minute to book anything and hadnt been here before and we were pleasantly surprised. I believe it has recently changed management or owners so I cant comment on any previous reviews.
A low beamed pub that serves a large and good quality lunch at a decent price. The atmosphere was very friendly and we were well looked after by the people running it. Good selection of drinks and a place we will definitely come back to. Give it a try.
